What Others Say About Us

"NOT EVERYONE WHO NEEDS HELP CAN ASK FOR IT. OUR STREETS ARE FULL OF PEOPLE SENTENCED TO LIFE WITH SPECIAL NEEDS. I LOVE P82 BECAUSE THEY HEAR THE SILENT NEEDS AND MOVE TO HELP."

- RICH RICHARDSON, LEAD PASTOR AT SOVEREIGN GRACE CHURCH, GILBERT, AZ

"P82 PROJECT RESTORATION IS ABOUT MORE THAN A PLACE TO LIVE. THE "PROJECT" IGNITES A VISIONARY FUTURE FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH CHRONIC SERIOUS MENTAL ILLNESSES – ONE THAT ENTAILS HOPE AND MEANINGFUL INCLUSION ONCE AGAIN IN THEIR COMMUNITY RATHER THAN A ROLLER COASTER RIDE OF INCARCERATION, RE-HOSPITALIZATIONS AND HOMELESSNESS. I AM INSPIRED BY THE GEESLING'S COMPASSION AND INCREDIBLY EFFECTIVE RESOURCEFULNESS AND ADVOCACY NOT ONLY ON BEHALF OF THEIR OWN SON, BUT SO MANY FAMILIES FACING THESE REALITIES WHO HAVE LOST HOPE WHILE SEARCHING FOR ANSWERS FOR THEIR LOVED ONES. P82 IS AN INVESTMENT IN DOING GOOD FOR ALL OF THEM – AS WELL AS FOR OUR COMMUNITIES."

- AZ SENATOR NANCY BARTO, LEGISLATIVE DISTRICT 15

“P82 IS A GUIDING LIGHT IN OUR COMMUNITY AND THE GEESLING’S PASSION AND CARE FOR THE SERIOUSLY MENTALLY ILL IS UNPARALLELED. WHETHER ADVOCATING IN D.C., AT THE STATE CAPITOL, OR FOR AN INDIVIDUAL, P82 IS LEADING THE WAY TOWARDS INNOVATIVE HOUSING SOLUTIONS FOR THIS UNDER-SERVED POPULATION. IT IS CRITICAL THAT THESE INDIVIDUALS GET THE HELP AND HEALINGTHEY NEED AND I AM PROUD TO SUPPORT P82 PROJECT RESTORATION.”

- GILBERT MAYOR JENN DANIELS

“THE GEESLINGS ARE LEADERS IN THE FIGHT FOR BETTER CARE—NOT ONLY IN ARIZONA, BUT AROUND THE COUNTRY.”

DJ JAFFE, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF MENTAL ILLNESS POLICY ORG.

"WE NEEDED HELP AND DID NOT KNOW WHERE TO TURN IN THE PROCESS OF OBTAINING PROPER TREATMENT FOR OUR FAMILY MEMBER. THIS ORGANIZATION WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY COUNTLESS TIMES TO HELP ADVOCATE FOR OUR FAMILY AND GUIDE US THROUGH THE PROPER CHANNELS OF THE MENTAL HEALTH SYSTEM.

THE JOURNEY WOULD HAVE BEEN SO MUCH MORE ARDUOUS AND UNPREDICTABLE, BUT WITH EXPERTISE, KINDNESS AND COMPASSION, THEY WALKED US THROUGH STEP BY STEP AND STAYED BY OUR SIDE THE ENTIRE TIME. THE EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND COMFORT THAT WAS BROUGHT TO US WAS NEXT LEVEL SERVICE. THEY WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND TO WALK ALONGSIDE OF US AND WE WILL BE FOREVER GRATEFUL."

- JIM AND ELLEN

"AS SOMEBODY WHO HAS CLOSELY FOLLOWED THE SMI SYSTEM IN ARIZONA, I CAN SAY THAT A LACK OF SAFE AND SUPPORTIVE HOUSING HAS BEEN A CONTINUOUS PROBLEM FOR PERSONS WITH SMI LIVING IN MARICOPA COUNTY. P82 PROJECT RESTORATION IS OFFERING AN INNOVATIVE PRIVATE-SECTOR SOLUTION, TO THIS VERY SERIOUS PUBLIC-SECTOR PROBLEM, RATHER THAN JUST ENDLESSLY DISCUSSING THE ISSUE WITHOUT ANY UNDERLYING ACTION. THIS IS A REFRESHING CHANGE."

- JOHN S. HOKANSON JR., FORMER PROGRAM ASSISTANT, OFFICE OF THE
MONITOR, SUPERIOR COURT OF ARIZONA (ARNOLD V. SARN).

“P82 WORKS TO ADDRESS A CRITICAL NEED IN OUR COMMUNITY.  BY ADVOCATING FOR, AND EDUCATING ON, THE NEEDS OF THE SERIOUSLY MENTALLY ILL, P82 HELPS FIRST RESPONDERS PREPARE FOR THESE EMERGENCIES PROACTIVELY.”

- BOB BADGETT, FIRE DEPARTMENT-ASSISTANT CHIEF, TOWN OF GILBERT, AZ
